There are more benefits in our Chai Lords chai than a cup of coffee. Each natural ingredient used in our blends in loaded with health benefits. Below we have listed a few...

Certified Organic Panela Sugar

Panela sugar is pure, unrefined whole cane sugar. It is said to be high in vitamins, antioxidants and minerals. It adds a natural sweetness to each cup without the bad stuff. Panela sugar adds a caramel-like flavour to the chai which adds more flavour.

Cinnamon

When you think chai, you think cinnamon! It has been said that cinnamon helps to lower blood pressure and lower cholesterol levels. Talk about a hero spice!

Cloves

Cloves are full of antioxidants! The antioxidants found in cloves can help reduce your risk of developing heart disease, diabetes, and certain cancers.

Star Anise

This one is for gut health! Star anise also helps improve digestion, alleviate cramps and reduce nausea. Consuming star anise tea after meals helps treat digestive ailments such as bloating, gas, indigestion and constipation.

Ginger

Ginger is full of health benefits! Ginger is said to keep your mouth healthy, calms nausea, soothes sore muscles (for those that hit the gym, this one’s for you!), lowers blood sugar and eases period pains.

Cardamom

Cardamom can help fight bad breath! While many people may think of mint as breath fresheners, people have used cardamom for this purpose for centuries. It also works as an anti-inflammatory that is high in antioxidants and are said to ease digestive problems.

Black Pepper

Black pepper and its active compound pipeline may have powerful antioxidant activity, enhance the absorption of certain nutrients and beneficial compounds, and improve digestive health.

Pink Himalayan Salt

Some people describe pink Himalayan salt as one of the purest salts available, and say it boasts several health benefits. Compared to our regular table salt that is heavily refined, it is a positive alternative!

Coffee on the other hand is great for a quick boost of caffeine. Both of our loose leaf blends contain caffeine but not as much as coffee. So why not mix the two together and create a dirty chai! A dirty chai is a blend of a Nespresso shot with a chai latte.
