Chai Lords Spiced Doughnuts @jadenutrition_


  • 1 cup self raising flour
  • 2/3 cup caster sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Chai Lords Instant Chai Latte powder
  • 3/4 cup soy milk.
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter (I used Nuttelex buttery)
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

For chai sugar:


  1. Preheat oven to 180C
  2. Combine flour, baking powder, sugar, salt and chai powder in a mixing bowl
  3. Add butter, milk and vanilla and stir until just combined
  4. Fill doughnut tin with batter until about 3-4 full - allow room for doughnuts to rise otherwise the batter may flood the hole in the middle
  5. Bake for 8-10 minutes
  6. Once baked, allow to cool slightly and brush with maple syrup (OPTIONAL - I did both as wasn’t sure the sugar would stick without. It did with/and without and both were delicious so up to you!)
  7. In a bowl, combine sugar with chai powder and cover doughnuts generously

Makes approximately 9 doughnuts
